Sundays River Valley Provincial Arts & Culture Festival

The Sundays River Valley Provincial Arts and Culture Festival is already running for 6 years and proudly hosted by Sundays River Primary School.

The overall success of the past festivals ensured that we are now able to present this magnificent educational festival at Provincial level. In 2017 we have a brand new syllabus, enlarged categories, non-competitive and competitive sessions. Categories include: Music (instrumental, solos, duets, trios, quartets, bands) Singing (all genres including a HUGE session for Classical singers), Dance (all genres), Choirs (non competitive) Speech and Drama (Afrikaans, English and isiXhosa), Visual Arts (massive category) including a new addition with the focus on conservation and the BIG 5, Photography. Additional to these normal categories the festival boast a the following new additions: Provincial Pop/Contemporary Singing Competition, Provincial Choir Competition with prize money of R40 000.00, National Instrumental Competition for Tertiary Students, Professional Evening Music concerts, Provincial Karate category and lots more. The festival is open for all Pre-schools, Primary & High Schools as well as adults.

Situated in the heart of the Sundays River Valley participants can perform to their very best in a tranquil environment surrounded by citrus farms with the scent of fresh citrus blossoms.
