6th Annual Ebubeleni Music Festival

The much awaited 6th edition of the Annual Ebubeleni Music Festival is set to light up the friendly city and will definitely be BIGGER at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. “The five-tier state of the art Stadium will host Nelson Mandela Bay’s flagship award winning cultural event, the Ebubeleni Music Festival on Saturday 30 December 2017.

“We worked to retain the “picnic style festival” because this is what has marked this event’s uniqueness that is its family orientated theme, where people bring their picnic baskets, cooler boxes and camp chairs to come enjoy performances by their favourite artists” said Marc Mahambehlala, Ebubeleni’s Project Manager.

This festival has from the humble beginnings grown from strength to strength and has undoubtedly reached a national event status. This growth is primarily and initially from the Nelson Mandela Bay and seeing revellers from all over the country’s nine provinces trek down to Port Elizabeth to enjoy the festival.

Over the 5 years of Ebubeleni’s existence, the festival can pride itself for contributing immensely to the economy of the city, creating temporary jobs, providing a platform for local artists to showcase their talents and bringing entertainment to the people of the Bay.

The line- up as always, has been carefully selected to cater for young and old, it includes Mzansi’s multi-awards winners Mafikizolo; The Legendary couple – Caiphus Semenya and Letta Mbulu; Singer-songwriter of “Amazulu” hit, Amanda Black; multiple award nominee and winner both internationally and locally –AKA; R&B and Soul Singers – Jaziel Brothers; new kid on the block dominating the airwaves Samthing Soweto of “Akanamali”; songstress Lady Zamar; popular ‘Ngempela’ songwriter-singer – Sjava; concluding the national line up is Sands of ‘Tigi Tigi’ fame all the way from Swaziland. Also sharing the stage will be top artists from Nelson Mandela Bay who never failed to give stellar performances.
