The Algoa Bay Branch of WESSA (The Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa) invites you and your friends to a lively dialogue on the important issue of “Sustainable Fishing” in Algoa Bay and our estuaries.

Dr. Paul Cowley, Fish Biologist at SA Institute of Aquatic Biodiversity andhead of a large “Catch and Release Programme”,

Dr. Ane Oosthuizen, Marine Coordinator for SANPARKS who is working on the extension of Marine Protected Areas in the Bay component of the Addo National Park.
Dr. Shirley Parker-Nance, NMMU researcher and Pro Dive Marine Biologist will provide an update on the proposed Fish Farm to be situated off Millers and Pollok Beach.
