All Shook Up presented by the PE G&S Society

Elvis Presley will forever be the King of Rock and Roll and the PE G&S Society is ending their 2015 season with a world-wide smash hit musical that celebrates the music of Elvis, All Shook Up. The story of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night is transported to 1950s small town USA where this classic story and over 20 Elvis hits join forces for a musical spectacular. The show features over 20 Elvis favourites that will have audiences clapping, foot tapping and singing along from the opening number, Jailhouse Rock through a cavalcade of hits including Don’t Be Cruel, Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes, Can’t Help Falling in Love, A Little Less Conversation and Love Me Tender to name just a few.

Rose Cowpar will direct with Richard Campbell as Musical Director and Amy Palmer as Choreographer. G&S award winner Bennie Gerber brings his hip-swivelling magic to the lead role of Chad, the roving roustabout with a song in his soul and a love for the ladies. Anke Staphorst steps up into the role of Natalie who dreams of riding out of her small town on a motorcycle with the man of her dreams. In supporting roles are Phillip Cowie, Melissa Leander, Bronwen-Kay Swanepoel, Charl Vollgraaff, Sean Cady, Kasvia von Memerty and Abigail Ranwell. The 28 strong cast will sing and dance their hearts out in true Elvis style.

All Shook Up runs nightly from 18th September to 3rd October except for Sundays and Monday evenings at the Savoy Theatre in Adcockvale. Tickets are available from Computicket at just R100 or R760 for a table of 8. There will be a Matinee on Saturday 26th September at 2.00pm at the special family price of R60 per ticket. Seating is in the popular cabaret style and patrons are welcome to bring their picnic baskets. The Savoy theatre has a full service cash bar and coffee bar.
