The Alliance Française Street music festival « Fête de la Musique » is a worldwide event, originally created in France, aiming at promoting local music as it allows both amateurs and professional musicians to perform.
In Port Elizabeth this event has been organized by the Alliance Française for the past 6 years which has developed into a popular event in Nelson Mandela Bay and is now called the Alliance Francaise Street Music Festival.
