The Boardwalk is going full steam ahead with its preparations of the Annual Boardwalk Retail Fashion Show in aid of charity that will be taking place on Tuesday, 19 April 2011 at the Boardwalk Conference Centre. Under the theme “Dare to look Hot”, this fashion show promises to be a jaw dropping and sizzling experience for young and old fashionistas and supporters of charitable causes. The chosen beneficiary for this year’s Boardwalk Retail Fashion Show is the Reach for A Dream Foundation who were delighted at the news of being the charity of choice. The Reach for a Dream Foundation is no stranger to The Boardwalk Retail’s charity list. During the Boardwalk’s 10th Birthday month last October, a total of 20 kids from Reach for A Dream Foundation were treated to kiddie’s packs, meals, a circus act, face painting and fun and games courtesy of tenants at The Boardwalk. “It is indeed humbling that The Boardwalk has chosen us as the official beneficiary of this Fashion Show and recognizes the hard work that we do to ensure that children’s dreams come true and these funds which we will receive will contribute towards realizing more children’s dreams and to us that means the world” says Reach for A Dream Events and Outings Coordinator, Michelle Van Huyssteen. Fashion enthusiasts can look forward not only to bright ramp lights, latest music but also models showcasing the latest winter fashion trends brought to you by Boardwalk retail tenants. An exciting and interesting twist to this year’s fashion show is PE’s personalities who will be modeling the clothes instead of using regular models. Some of the PE personalities to mention who will be strutting their stuff in support of charity are Algoa FM Breakfast show Deejay, Carol Anne Kelleher, Chevrolet Warriors cricket player, Craig Thyssen, NMB Stadium Marketing Manager and popular MC, Buli G, The Herald / Spec Savers Miss PE, Bianca Anne Harp, CEO of Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism, Miss Mandlakazi Skefile, Chairman of The Boardwalk, Bongi Siwisa and Sun International’s youngest Miss SA Teen, Michaela Oosthuizen. This not to be missed fashion show will take place on Tuesday 19 of April. Bookings for tickets can be made through Boardwalk Retail Guest Relations Officer, Caley Phillips on 041 507 7918 or Michelle Brown at 041 581 6424.
