Burgess Cup Bowling Tournament Centenary

This year marks 100 years of the Burgess Cup bowling tournament which is played between the Port Elizabeth Scottish Association and the Port Elizabeth Bowling Club.

The Bowling Tournament will be played on Saturday the 5th of November starting at 13h30. Both events will take place at the P.E. Bowling Club.

This event was first played to raise money for war funds and the amount raised was £19.15.6 which was given to the Governor General’s Fund. These days, all proceeds from the match are given to a charity and the charity that has been identified this year is CHOC. There will also be a raffle with various hampers to be won.

The Algoa Caledonian Pipe Band will be in attendance at both functions.
