Francophonie Week

Join us for the annual Francophonie Festival!!

Launched in 2010, the Francophonie week is a platform available to Francophone and Francophiles in Port Elizabeth for the promotion of French cultural and linguistic diversity.

The festival is a great way to learn about other cultures and explore the creative artistry of the many countries that speak French. Since 2010, more than 28 countries have collaborated each year to present an array of experiences all rooted in the Francophone cultures – from Africa to the Americas to Asia to the Middle East.

Conference | Short lecture
We will open the Francophonie week with a conference in English on the following topic: Francophonie in the World.

Come share your story and point of view with fellow francophiles. Free coffee will be served during the afternoon.

Autour du Quebec
Your cultural rendez-vous of the week will be on the theme of "La Francophonie". Jean will talk about the Quebec, the former French colony on a Thursday this time!

To wrap up the week, Alliance Française will host a brunch on Saturday, March 24 to celebrate “La Francophonie” one more time and ending with a game of trivia.
