isiXhosa Music Festival

The IsiXhosa Music Festival is intended to aid the NMB in hosting a relevant, vibrant, and unique event during the Freedom Day’s long weekend and a Celebration of NMB's finest in music especially those singing and performing in IsiXhosa. IsiXhosa Music Festival is a content festival, it is not just a normal music festival. At this festival all musicians will be performing in IsiXhosa, all patrons will be encouraged to dress in IsiXhosa and the food served to the VIPs will also be in IsiXhosa.

The IsiXhosa Music Festival will be held at the St George’s Park Cricket Stadium on 29 April 2023. Gates open at 10h00 am and the Festival will starts at 12h00 (noon). This year we are featuring the well renowned and multi-award winner Ringo Madlingozi, Nathi Mankayi, Amanda Black, 047, Max Hoba, Zuko SA, Dumza Maswana, Ntsika, Nomty Ngwetsheni, Zimsto Eroofini, Andy Ndlazilwana, Dongadala (poet), Joliza, Nosisi Mavela, Qhama Afrika Dance Group, Luckeez Mfowethu, Phila Madlingozi, Asanda Mqiki, King Jade & Baby Joe.

Early Bird Tickets start from R265 for General, R300 for Golden Circle and R1150 for VIP until 31 March thereafter General will be R300, Golden Circle R350 and VIP will be R1350.
