Motherwell Urban Renewal Programme (MURP) in collaboration with Motherwell Youth Development Forum (MYDF),

Motherwell Arts and Culture Organization (MACO)and SAPS aims to have a Beauty Pageant on Saturday 30 October 2010. Arts, culture, music and dance projects are part of the Crime Diversion projects implemented by MURP.

The aim of this show with the theme “Stop Crime Start Modeling” is to create a platform for the youth of Motherwell to start projecting themselves positively by getting involved in projects with a positive spin and at the same time to take a stance against continuous crime plaguing the community.

It also coincides with the 16 days of activism against women abuse and is thus seen as an instrumental part of awareness-raising.
