SANCCOB African Penguin Awareness Day

Join us as we celebrate African Penguin Awareness Day differently this year! On the 9th of October 2021, it'sAfrican Penguin Day and to celebrate this endangered species we have planned a sunrise walk to raise awareness about the plight of African penguins and their rapid decline in numbers.

The walk will start at SANCCOB to the lighthouse and back, bring your flaskof coffee and we will provide rusks to enjoy while watching the sunrise. Ticket sales will start at 5h30 in the morning. We will leave on the walk at 5h45 sharp so as not to miss the sunrise. The entrance fee for the walk is R50 flat rate which includes accessto the Centre after the walk and tour of the facility. Tours from 9am until 4pm, penguin feeding is at 9h30 and 10h30in the morning and at 2h30 and 3h00 in the afternoon. The coffee shop will be open too.
