South African National Parks Week

The week grants free access to most of the 21 national parks for South African day visitors, especially people from the local communities. It should be noted that free access to parks does not include free access to accommodation facilities and other tourist activities. The parks closest to Nelson Mandela Bay: Addo Elephant, Garden Route (Tsitsikamma, Wilderness and Knysna sections), Mountain Zebra, Camdeboo and Karoo National Parks. This initiative is in partnership with Total SA and First National Bank, in line with SANParks vision statement of "A sustainable National Park System Connecting Society”.
