SPAR goes wild in the Eastern Cape - A new partnership will see one of South Africa’s top six festivals continue to grow and contribute to community upliftment in the Sundays River, according to SPAR Kirkwood Wildsfees director Jenni Honsbein.
“We are delighted and honoured that the SPAR group has decided to ‘go wild’ with us for at least the next three years as the naming sponsor,” she says.

The 15-year-old festival is one of the only in the country to be owned by the community through a not-for-profit company.
“Giving back to the local community is one of the key objectives of the SPAR Group. Partnering with a festival of this professional calibre that aims at enriching the immediate community, seemed a natural fit,” says Abri Swart, Marketing Director of SPAR Eastern Cape.

Preparations are well under way for the 2016 SPAR Kirkwood Wildsfees, which will be held from Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26, according to Honsbein.

“Every year we bring in new attractions for the whole family. This year one of the show stoppers will be the Zip Zap Circus from Cape Town – South Africa’s very own Aussie Circus where people are the stars and not animals.
“We are already working closely with SPAR to help us communicate with over 50 000 annual visitors to the festival – and those families who have not yet had the Wildsfees experience. It is, we believe, the biggest family festival in the country,” says Honsbein.

Big on Value, Big on Family

Yearly the SPAR Kirkwood Wildsfees tries to get bigger and better and just like it has in the past this year’s SPAR Kirkwood Wildsfees will not be disappointing festival goers.

Festival goers attending this years festival will be paying the same as last year and will be gaining much more for their money. Ticket price will include access into the festival, a chance to brows over 350 stalls that have been hand picked by our team to limit duplicated stalls, live entertainment on the Windhoek Stage and in the Tiki Island Style bar, fun adventures for kids of all ages as they explore the winter wonderland or Zip their way down to the Zip Zap Circus where they will be taught some nifty tricks that monkey nastics forgot to teach them, expos in the Vodacom Pavilion, food demonstrations, Die Burger Skou Saal demos and the list continues.

Other attractions include a the Walk on the Wildside experience, skaapkop and nek lang tafel, Mohair Magic expo, Songololo Stretch, boerboel show, demonstrations at the Vodacom Pavilijoen, wine, BagJump gourmet food and beer tents, as well as agricultural, new car and outdoor expos.
