The Herald Continental Cycle Tour

The Herald Continental Cycle Tour is the 2nd oldest cycling classic in South Africa boasting over 3000 cyclists participating in the Road, Corporate Relay, mountain bike and kiddies races. The Herald Cycle Tour was first held in 1986 and has grown year on year to become the biggest cycling race in the Eastern Cape, celebrating its 33rd edition in 2018.
 
The 2-weekend cycling event not only brings in South Africa’s top elite pro cycling teams, but also creates a weekend experience for the masses to enjoy – whether it be family and kiddies rides or the newly introduced Team Corporate Challenge.
 
The Herald Cycle Tour also includes a race village - the main hub and home for all cyclists, families and spectators to gather and enjoy the weekend festival of cycling. The race village incorporates the registration tent, stage and entertainment, VIP deck, spectator’s tent, and various activations and activities to keep families entertained.
