ENJOY, CAPTURE AND #SHARETHEBAY
With the festive season kicking in, Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism (NMBT) yesterday launched an innovative campaign called "Share The Bay" on social media platforms. The campaign invites visitors and residents of Port Elizabeth, Uitenhage, Despatch and Colchester to share their summer experience. The campaign will run over two months and includes a competition, with fortnightly winners being announced and featured on various digital marketing platforms.
"It is so exciting to see how many residents and visitors of the Bay have already started participating in the campaign," says Mandlakazi Skefile, CEO of Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism. Many have already shown their enthusiasm by sharing their pictures and videos online.
Ms Skefile further confirms, "The aim is to continuously instill a sense of pride in our city, and to highlight the many positive and fun aspects of life in this wonderful destination, especially the hidden gems all around the Bay."
Residents and visitors are encouraged to capture and share their experiences of life in the Bay by using the hash tags #ShareTheBay and #MyNelsonMandelaBay and uploading their images or short videos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. These are then shared and can be viewed on the Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism web-site.
To discover more of what that the Bay has to offer, residents are encouraged to take advantage of the great offers on the Nelson Mandela Bay Pass, which allows you to experience a variety of the destination’s activities and attractions with free and discounted entry.
Selected pictures are regularly streamed on the Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism website, as well as on official Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism social media sites. The best pictures are selected every two weeks and winners will receive gifts worth over R3000.00 each. Terms and conditions of the campaign are available at www.nmbt.co.za/share_the_bay
