New planned air routes from Nelson Mandela Bay to Bloemfontein and East London

CemAir, Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) are pleased to announce that advanced discussions are underway regarding the possible commencement of scheduled flights from Gqeberha (previously Port Elizabeth) to both East London and Bloemfontein starting from July 2021. 

We ask to all interested parties to provide details of their interest and requirements. This information will be used during the planning phase to coordinate a service that suits the needs and schedule of as many travelers as possible. We will also be able to provide direct feedback on the progress of the proposed air service as the process progresses.

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has created the “Airlift Project” to identify and encourage direct flight services to additional city centres as it has identified the strategic importance of connectivity by schedule airline operators in achieving the overall economic growth goals of the city.
