NIANELL PERFORMS MY BEAUTIFUL ESCAPE LIVE AT THE BOARDWALK

South African super starlet, Nianell has just unleashed her brand new album My Beautiful Escape; her first full length album in two years. Local fans will have the chance to see her perform songs from the album at The Boardwalk Amphitheatre on 26 August 2017.

Described as a platinum-selling vocal gymnast, she dazzles her audiences by moving between four octaves with absolute ease. She includes elements of folk, pop, R&B, country, classic and celtic music in her song-writing, and with little effort plays the piano and acoustic guitar while she sings. Known for her great sense of humor, Nianell adds a personal touch to her performances by interacting with her audiences.

“We are excited to host Nianell as she graces our stage in August. She exudes the love and inspiration she sings about, and her passion and sincerity are contagious. There is something for everybody in her diverse range of melodies. Her show at the promises to be as captivating as ever – a treat for all her fans,” says Siphokazi Ngombane, Public Relations & Promotions Manager at The Boardwalk.

Nianell has released a steady body of work across her illustrious career, raking in awards and becoming one of the most recognised names in the Southern African music landscape. She has endeared herself to both Afrikaans and English audiences, solidifying a reputation as one of the most versatile and talented singer-songwriters our country has to offer.

My Beautiful Escape is at times reminiscent of Nianell’s earliest works – but imbued with enhanced maturity and fearlessness that only a tempered soul is capable of. The album leads the listener through a sonic adventure – a sweeping journey through Nianell’s four octave range. She spirits the listener away on her personal escape and tells her own story through words that could be canonised as poetry and melodies that will be remembered for generations to come.

“This is my most personal album,” Nianell says. “But I also found it to be my most universal. People will find their own stories as I share mine on this album – and it is my sincere hope that the music on this album will inspire and heal,” she adds.

Tickets to her show at The Boardwalk are available at Computicket and cost R130 per person. The show will start at 19h30.
