Romance will reign at Kipling’s Brasserie this Valentine’s Day
Romance will reign at the Boardwalk’s beautiful and airy Kipling’s Brasserie for Valentines this year. Overlooking the spectacular Indian Ocean, Kipling’s Brasserie will be lit with the warm glow of candlelight and the air filled with the sound of soft playing love songs will guests savour a sumptuous three-course dinner.
“Valentine’s dinner at the Kipling’s Brasserie is always a special experience, with a lavish menu in an exquisite setting. The menu boasts a choice of dishes for each course so guests are able to construct their experience,” says Siphokazi Ngombane, the Boardwalk’s PR & Promotions Manager.
Kipling’s Brasserie at the five-star Boardwalk Hotel continues to rank as one of the top fine dining restaurants in Port Elizabeth, with an innovative menu and exquisite. Renowned for excellent service and the diversity of tempting dishes, Kipling’s Brasserie acknowledges contemporary dining tends while reflecting the tastes and interests of the beloved author, Rudyard Kipling, who was a frequent visitor to the Eastern Cape and after whom the restaurant is named. Special emphasis is placed on fresh, seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients to ensure the authenticity of the dishes.
For Valentines 2017, the culinary team has created a delicious three-course menu that allows guests to choose from different dishes at each stage, according to their own tastes and desires. For starters, there is a choice between a creamy pumpkin soup with wild mushrooms; pink risotto, a delicious beetroot emulsion with wild mushrooms, parmesan cheese and truffle oil, or beef carpaccio with olive tapenade, parmesan shavings, walnuts and pickled red onion.
For the main course, there is a choice between grilled sea bass with ratatouille filled baby marrow, marinated artichokes, herb pesto and salsa verde; beef fillet with cauliflower puree, wild mushroom and baby beets with a red wine jus, or prawn and chicken curry. The tantalizing meal is rounded off with the Kilpings Bouquet of desserts to share.
